I actually watched a lot of the D&D cartoon here in Brazil. Even though it was pretty old, it still had a bunch of re-runs even when I finally got into college.
Fun Fact: The brazillian dub actually changed the title to "A Caverna do Dragão", which in english can either be "The Dragon's Cave" or... "The Dragon's Lair".
Weird, do they call the Don Bluth game Dungeons and Dragons then?
I totally forgot this cartoon even existed

I have personal grievances with DMoTR but that's not relevant
This was the perfect choice of origins for Simon. He always struck me as a legacy sort of player.
Also that table? Wish it didn’t remind me so much of the first group I ever gamed with.

Yeah, when it came to Simon's origin, I already had that more or less figured out ages ago. The original Dungeons & Dragons cartoon. Who here remembers that?
And I also relatively recently FINALLY got around to fully reading DM of the Rings. James is a very loving homage to Aragorn's player.
The characters are all somewhat blatantly named for Wizard City characters in Adventure Time. Forest Wizard, Huntress Wizard (g-swapped into Hunter so I could have a table of lonely teenage boys), Abracadaniel, Giuseppe (thanks for the crabapples), and lastly Ron James everyone's favorite peddler of magical items. Or at least mine. I understand those who prefer Choose Goose.
Next page will be this evening!
