I hate it when I forget words.
I have forever been baffled as to how Yugioh could be a campaign comic.
A seemingly endless point-buy system for 'special cards' with a pool of 'normal-ish' cards to draw from between phases, rip a little from the original manga and say you are both 'wizards' summoning these monsters or whatever.
The card 'collection' being based around too much world building from a GM with way too much time on his/her hands.
Any time they need 'new' card sets they just take a new 3rd party book like aliens or samurai and use that for inspiration.

Well to be fair that might explain how Yugi always gets the card he needs. He just rolled a 20

Aaa and that was my backup comic idea.... Lol.
To be fair plenty of seasons after that to use, though admittedly after the original series it did just go from weird at times to downright convoluted.
