So yeah, to summarize, my life's getting too hectic for me to have the time and energy or interest comparative to other things in my life to continue writing Steven and the Crystal GMs. I HOPE it only winds up a hiatus and that once my life has settled down I can continue, but if it doesn't, it's been fun.
If you want to submit a guest comic, as I said, the only real rule is to try and keep it within the acceptable bounds of PG-13. Try not to have a swear as every other word, no serious nudity, etc. Otherwise go nuts. Any characters, any setting.
For those who DON'T know how the messaging system works, just click my name to be taken to my profile page. From there click Send This User A Private Message, though such DOES require having an account on the site. Just send your pic after putting it up on like imgur, or whatever.
See you Saturday for the next story page!
Also if you just showed up and are seeing this and wondering where the ACTUAL today page is, it was uploaded earlier, so just click that back one page button.

Tch, I don't understand you WoW addicts. How can you waste your time with something so frivolous? Now if you'll excuse me, GW2's Auric Basin meta map event is going to hit its Challenges phase soon and I need to be there, or else it's two hours 'til the next one, this is important
Aww, I miss you already, Rastaba!
There was a time once where I couldn't grasp the MMO addiction and it made me angry with friends and acquaintances that could just disappear into those games--the grind is what always managed to chase me away. But then Bungie gave it guns and a shiny coat of paint and as much as it pains me to admit it I'm a Destiny addict (aching for Forsaken next week). Lucky for me I've started playing games less often overall, so the obsession is being held off by that. But most of the time I wind up playing Destiny even when I don't want to. I guess they made the grind work in a way that I perceive as tolerable (it isn't) so I put up with that and celebrate with my friends when we do cool stuff.
I really hope you come back to us, but I can't blame you if you don't. I've always imagined these webcomics to be pretty taxing on their producers. I've contemplated doing one in the past but I can never decide on an idea. If I ever do pick something up maybe I'll boop your message box.
You are under no obligation to keep up with this, I hope Life stuff works out better for you soon.
Hmm maybe I'll give a guest comic a go. It could be good practice for that project of mine I've mentioned that I'm still formulating ;)
And don't worry, take a well deserved break for however long you need. I know all about limited energy and real life issues. I'm also a big WoW fan and currently enjoying BFA :D
Hey, I really like this comic & it's really fun to read. ^_^
What are your requirements for guest comics?
No real requirements beyond trying to keep it within the bounds of PG-13 or so. Otherwise go nuts with it. Can use the GeMs, your own original characters, any setting, etc.
...What are the recommended dimensions of a comic page?
I tend to use 800 x 1200. But height is pretty malleable and you CAN send in multiple pages.
Stephen... no really. (Guest)
I guess I'm lucky. I started out as the class Blizzard didn't even bother to finish and hated outright. Mists of Pandaria was pretty much it for me. My hunter no longer felt like a hunter. All of my friends had moved on. My pet had lost all personality. Worst of all... I had no real reason to interact with other players. I was soloing everything and bored to tears. When I knew it was over for me was when I was in a money crunch, had received a gift card for my birthday, and decided to use it to pop on at christmas for the event but then completely forgot until after the event was over. I had missed the first christmas because my computer crashed and I couldn't replace it but missing it because I forgot and not caring about it... that was a pretty clear sign for me. Anyway, have fun storming the castle.
My MMO of choice is Elder Scrolls Online. I'll binge it sometimes when a big expansion comes out (Morrowind for instance), but mostly I just log in to manage my shop, fish, and maybe PVP. I'm almost an NPC on that game... :P
Lately, though, I've been addicted to World of Final Fantasy. Next up on my roster is Neptunia Vs. Sega Hard Girls, so... yeah I might be short on time myself or I might try my hand at guest comicing. I can't draw so cap comics is my kinda jam.
Anyway, glad you're finishing up the current story. My pet peeve is when comics quit mid-arc. The reasons are often understandable, of course, but it's still irksome from the other side. Then there are the occasional ones where for one reason or another the official comic site vanishes off the internet. One case opened back up and said it was due to harassers... I asked and apparently the artist couldn't figure out how to not accept any incoming messages through that portal (I don't know tumblr, but I feel like there had to be a way).
Anyway that sort of thing is why I don't like to publish fanfiction or videos until they are 100% done which... means I release things at long intervals.
Oh and I'll have to check out that anime. I loved Watamote (or however that's spelled) and I'm hoping this is more on the game side of that sorta thing.
Hey, there's this comic I've been working on off and on for a while now, based on the DCEU. Is it alright if I submit the 4 or 5 strips I have as guest comics, to gauge interest?
Good luck with everything, by the way. Life can be hard, and you deserve a break.
Be my guest!
It's okay, Rastaba. I've had those days, too. Life gets hectic, and sometimes you just need to step back and take a break to bring back the creative juices.
Considering that I'm also reducing my schedule, I doubt I'll be able to submit another guest comic. If I do, it'll probably be only 1 or 2 pages.
. . . And now I have an idea, but another time!
Love that show.
I understand the need to go on Hiatus. Life gets crazy. The forewarning is appreciated though.
Have fun with the WoWing and the kitchening.
All it means to me is the if Future hasn't been made yet then it's just less content avaiable. Glad you took it
How have you been? You doing okay in quarantine?
