As a notice, I have decided to take a hiatus. A real one. I have comics set up through friday (No double this week). Steven and the Crystal GMs will resume the 3rd of June. The reason behind this is two-fold. One is decided to take a real break. The other is I have decided to run a little poll to see which episode people would rather see next. Pearl will be getting her update 'quietly' meaning episodes from this point forward will feature Pearl v2 or be 'flashbacks'.
I will do the other next and merely want people's opinions on which they'd rather see come first.
This is a parody, and is not endorsed by Cartoon Network, or the people who make Steven Universe. This is purely for fun.

I still find not going the "easy route" with Onion to be a great decision.
I can just guess all the lessons about the circle of life, and the nessesity of sometimes taking a life, he can teach Steven with his snake!
And him stealing Stevens stuff could be.... Actually might be best to skip that episode XD
(If not, the first part could be a lesson on the dangers of greed)
Honestly, that episode might be best chopped up and sprinkled elsewhere as you need shots of Steven and Onion together?
... Just had an idea that Onion actually wanted to use the Copy-wand to help the town, but accidentally got it stuck on "Car". XD
Again, sorry if my rampant speculations annoying, trying to guess how your going to use things is fun... And if I help you find a good idea you overlooked/missed (like the lion thing), then I get a warm fuzzy feeling! :D
My decision was made easier by the fact that it seemed like it'd be funnier...so say the kernels. I do though plan on avoiding Onion Trade though, straight up. I may use bits and pieces throughout, like you said. But outside of maybe a 'one panel joke' I can't really see how to bring it about in a funny enough way to justify a whole mini adventure.
The snake thing though I may keep in mind when I actually get there...or I might forget. If I do though, I'll be certain to accredit you for the suggestion...provided I remember.
Having a strictly carnivorous pet, like a snake or even a frog, can put life into perspective.
"Imagine yourself as the snake, and it's a nessesity to survive... Now imagine your the mouse, your survival demands the snake starves." As a rough example.
I don't need credited, tho I will probably forget I gave the idea and give it again later, cuz my memory is sh*t :P
Beach party would have been hilarious tho.
